A bridge, never too far away!

We drive along the Rota do Vinho do Porto (the wine road to Porto), about 25 km westwards !

There is a crowd watching this fancy Tauck River Cruise Ship go through the loch, which seems to take forever. I would definitely like a dip in that sparkling swimming pool! However from about A$2000 a couple per night  – maybe we’ll make do with our caravan park pools!

Bruce nestles under the pedestrian bridge for two days at only three euro per night in beautiful Peso da Regua. The other two bridges are the modern bridge, and the most common frequently used old Bridge, see in the picture.

The Alto region of the Douro is the oldest demarcated and regulated wine region in the world. For more than 2000 years, it has been producing port (a type of wine fortified with brandy).

Bruce is surrounded by about 50 other motorhomes, but surprisingly it is still quite peaceful and relaxing here. A great place, just to put your feet up and in Mark’s case have a rose.

We meander along the river side and the narrow streets taking pics of unique cars, motorbikes and other interesting motorhomes! We even discover a red “Trenta” perfect for our son Trent!?

The 1880 fire station is rather unique with firetrucks poised to go at any moment!!

I’m loving the latest bebe fashion of Portugal too,  complete with matching bow tie and sun hat to complete the outfit!
