It’s now day six of tour Albania and we are following yet another stunning gorge.

The river below is a beautiful aquamarine colour and we stop for a morning break and admire the view.

The route takes us onto a wide plain and then into the town of Gjirokaster. After checking into our hotel, we explore on a guided tour the town with its charming cobbled alleyways, shops and fascinating traditional houses.

We stumble across this traditional Albanian group singing beautiful music on the restaurant terrace.

After a brief bus transfer to avoid dangerous roads, we commence our cycling at the top of the Muzina pass towards Sarande.

A short ride on a rustic ferry to the UNESCO world Heritage site of Butrint, one of the most important archaeological treasures in Albania.
