We jump in a red taxi and drive 15 minutes around the coast to the mediaeval Kotor, population 13,000, nestled in a dramatic fjord like bay along the Adriatic Sea. Its fortified wall built during the Venetian period and the old town is a UNESCO’s world Heritage site.
Our accomodation is here for two nights, Marijta 2.
We meander through the cobblestone lanes and the main square, finding this Serbian Orthodox Church dates back to the 11th century.
Kotor is proud to be the unofficial cat capital, they’re everywhere! 
We are amused by this local hairdressing name, Sik Friz! 
We share a delicious local Kotor Krempita similar to a vanilla slice.
It’s still very hot and we can’t wait to jump, actually tread carefully into the sea! The steps are smooth and covered in moss / slippery and the pebbles/rocks make it challenging. 
Young boys climb up onto this lifeboat and jump off, ignoring the do not climb sign! 
Our small group tour of Montenegro begins tonight and we celebrate with dinner together.
We take pics as we walk the walls after sunset. 
Tomorrow we are excited to hit the road in our small tour bus to discover more!
