All aboard our minivan, as we continue along the winding mountain roads to our destination of Theth National Park.

Our fabulous CEO (chief experience officer) Majkell (Michael) grabs our 16 passports at the border crossing from Montenegro into Albania.

We get the all clear thank goodness and continue up the narrow mountain roads with its breathtaking scenery to admire.

It’s definitely time for a quick coffee stop and more great photo opportunities of course.

Driving alongside the river gorge we arrive at the tiny, gorgeous village of Theth.

This beautiful Roman Catholic Church was built in 1892.

Crossing this tiny bridge, we head off in 33-degree heat on a two hour hike up to the Grunasi  waterfall!  It’s 25 m high cascade falls from a dramatic limestone cliff.

The water is freezing. and Mark can only cool his feet off for a few seconds before the pain sets in.

As we carefully trek down the steep rocky trail, our wonderful CEO picks some berries for our morning tea.

After two hours we made it down and cool off in the shade together. 

Exhausted, but with a sense of achievement, we relax in the air-conditioned bus on our way to Shkoder at our hotel for the next two nights.
