Perfect Perast

After a two-hour Transavia flight from Orly Airport in Paris, we land in Tivat, Montenegro. To be honest before planning this holiday, I wasn’t sure even where Montenegro was!

A 40-minute drive from the airport and we’re at the picture perfect, small (277 population), idyllic seaside village of Perast.

Our home for the next four days is the aptly named Airbnb ”Gem of Perast”. We couldn’t agree more with the choice of name! Up this flight of stairs and wowee!

Fabulous apartment which overlooks the bay and many boats, just like the website, even better!

The views from our shutter windows morning and at sunset are fantastic.

The yellow lamp light in this picture is next to our window.

Watching the many different boats come and go and activity below is a popular past time.

It’s very hot, mid 30s, so the aircon is most welcome.! After cooling off and grabbing my fan, we head out to explore this historic little town, with its many restored buildings, some now beautiful five-star hotels.

We discovered the many steps that lead up to the Perast viewpoint, worth the effort. Rewarding ourselves with the local Eis (ice cream).
