Next Stop, Amsterdam

We are standing straight, it is the buildings that lean!!

A two hour drive northwest and we are at Camperpark Amsterdam. Grabbing overnight bags we take the train (the metro station is close by) and we make our way to the Westcord Art  Hotel where our next reunion takes place!

In 2018, whilst on a three week cycling adventure along the Danube River, we met Edith and Martin, under amusing circumstances! A long story short we took a wrong turn along the route and they followed us! We all ended up in a black sandy farm yard with a tractor coming up fast at our rear!! Bev‘s heavy bike dug deep into the sand and fell over with her on it of course! it all happened in slow motion and no damage done!!! Lots of laughs with our new friends and we rode together for the next week. https://aussiebruce.com/2018/08/day-of-drama-on-tour-de-donau/

Our reunion dinner is at this Italian restaurant, Donna Sophia in Jordaan Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is celebrating it’s 750th birthday and it’s buzzing with activity.

The famous flower market is overflowing with flower bulbs!

When in …. Amsterdam, one must try out the large clogs for size???

The picturesque canals don’t disappoint us!

The quirky duck shop is selling amusing Trump ducks amongst others.

Last year in Nice, France, we camped next to Jacqueline and Peter (From the Netherlands) and they join us as we explore Amsterdam. A fun evening altogether at Olivia Pinxtos Restaurant.

The girls pose for a pic under the Ivy arch……. French, Aussie and Dutch!

  1. Great time to be partying in Amsterdam.
I fell off my bike in the city centre, towing a trailer with 2 dogs! My wheel got stuck in tram lines.
