Checking out the Bavarian “Bergs” !!

Aussie Bruce orders a reluctant Bev out of the swimming pool and guides us on a journey through a beautiful Bavaria.

Staying in a free stelplatz, 10km from Nurunberg, we are back on the bikes again!! This medieviel city was destroyed almost entirely during WWII, and was painstakingly rebuilt using the original stones.

Mark cooks up a storm tonight with the famous (apparently) Nurnberger sausages and KartoffelSalat (potato salad)!. Guht Appetite!!

We are off to Bamberg next which Lonely Planet describes as “a disarmingly beautiful, architectural masterpeice!!” It is UNESCO World Heritage listed. And, yep, it is pretty nice. The town is bisected by rivers and canals – a row of half-timbered cottages, once owned by fishermen, makes up Klein Venedig (little Venice)!!

Above Bamberg is a former monastry – and now Aged Peoples home. Bev looks at home in the garden terrace that overlooks the town there.

Strolling back past the shops she lashes out and buys two tops for 4.95 Euro – Bargain!!

What is the world coming to – . . . knitted safety bollards!?!?!<!<?!?
