Bongiorno, welcome to the UNESCO listed Cinque Terrre.
We stayed in Levanto and this is the beach on Wednesday. The following photos are on Thursday!! Surfs Up!!
We took the train from our camp in Levanto to visit each of the 5 clifftop villages. The train travels mostly in tunnels through the mountains. We began our day with breakfast in the beautiful village of Riomaggiore (the most southerly of the five villages) and by train and one challenging hike, moved back up the coast one village at-a-time.
We hiked from Corniglia to Vernazza. The trainline very far below!!
Vernazza port now, and immediately after the devastating floods of 2011.
