Yes, we’re back for more cultural and exciting experiences in Europe 2024 !

After a new front tyre and a custom-made pipe repair of the air-conditioner, Bruce is eagerly waiting to venture off with us again.

So buckle up , there’s room in Aussie Bruce for you all !!

First, we enjoy the night with our special friends in Teignmouth.

We first met Su and Pete 10 years ago on a walking tour of spectacular Saint Emilion in France and they also visited us in Australia.

The overnight ferry crossing to Santander Spain is 22 hours and the Bay of Biscay kindly provides us with smooth sailing.

We celebrate with French wine as we ponder what Aussie Bruce adventures we will encounter this year.

Our itinerary will be flexible again but in a “nutshell”we plan to explore Spain (San Sebastian, Granada, Majorca, Barcelona ) & Southern France .

A weeks stay in the hinterland behind Nice in July will culminate with the end of the Tour de France!  This is the first time the Tour de France hasn’t finished in Paris. The Olympic Games start shortly after the tour so the city of Nice was chosen as their alternative to Paris. The atmosphere will be amazing as they race across the line…..be on the look out for our Aussie attire complete with our large blow up kangaroos ! We should stand out, even amongst the crazy crowd !

After disembarking in Santander on the 30th May we drive 2 1/2 hours to Camping Igara in San Sebastian ( Donostia to the locals).

We usually try not to return to the same places but we take an exception here because we loved our experience last year. The Internet isn’t too bad either so Mark can work when required too!

Good news, the magnificent , sparkling swimming pool is opening for summer on June 1st !!…..don’t worry, I’ll make sure l swim a few extra laps for you too !!
