Last year we decided we would include some TDF (Tour De France) stages/mayhem into our 2024 European adventure. Mark booked us in at a camping park in February, knowing it would be difficult to get a site during this time. Wild, white horses & flamingoes!
Driving eastward again, we’re now in the amazing Camargue region, in the gorgeous village of Saintes Maries de la Mer. This place is truly amazing with its nature & so culturally interesting also.
We even notice all these wild, white horses in the wetlands on our way to the village.
Bonjour & bienvenue(welcome) to France!
We say “adios” to spectacular Spain & “bonjour” to France as Bruce escorts us across the border(no real border these days) into fantastic France.

Let’s take a flight …..to Mallorca !
Excitedly, we pack small overnight bags & grab a taxi to Valencia airport, only 15 minutes away!
Bruce is more than content to rest up for a while at the camping park, whilst we escape to the island of Mallorca for 5 nights…….to celebrate my birthday!! 🥳 Yippee!
Anyone for an orange, Valèncian of course!
Just over halfway up the east coast of Spain is the famous city of Valencia. Let’s pop in there! It’s the 3rd largest city in Spain 🇪🇸 with a population of 840,000 .
Los Alcázares, here we come!
Hola everyone, we’re back again!
The landscape is really dramatic as we continue up the east coast of Spain. Fortunately, Bruce doesn’t mind a tunnel or two!

La Zubia & beyond !
La Zubia is the local, small town near our Camping Park in Granada. It’s definitely non-touristy & let’s have a wonder up the road and see what the locals are up to!…. Looks like we’re having an Americano & fresh churros for brunch first!
