A two hour drive northwest and we are at Camperpark Amsterdam. Grabbing overnight bags we take the train (the metro station is close by) and we make our way to the Westcord Art Hotel where our next reunion takes place!
Apart from the amazing scenery and interesting cultures we observe and enjoy on our Aussie Bruce Adventures, it is the special friendships we have made along the way that enrich our experiences.
Our first week in the Netherlands has been full of special reunions.
Leaving Bruce in Camping de Weidevogel in Boekel, we cycle into the small town of Erp.
Welcome everyone to our 2025 Aussie Bruce blog! This year our adventures will once again include many beautiful destinations. Relax with a cuppa and join us on our European experience.
Yes, it’s time to take the ferry back to UK!
We drive through the attractive Morlaix port on our way to Roscoff !
Bonjour everyone! Bruce is now heading westerly to the small village of Bignac! Fortunately his air conditioning is working this year & it’s making the driving more comfortable in this ongoing heatwave. The beautiful sunflowers are happily smiling in our direction as we drive past! It appears they’re the only ones loving 35 degrees!
Our French adventure continues & we never know what tomorrow may bring!?….OOhh la la! C’est magnifique!……
We have found ourselves in this splendiferous, majestic, unrivalled swimming pool & in front of a charming chateau/fort no less!! I’m in heaven!
More of that later but first we head to Avignon…..
During our visit to Nice we think it would be fun to do a walking tour. Our English guide, Christian, is wonderful & makes the tour enjoyable with his easy nature & interesting information about Nice.
Yes, it’s all a buzz here with excitement, in anticipation of stage 20 of The Tour de France coming to Nice! The atmosphere is fantastic as we wander the streets, enjoying the city of Nice.
The last stage 21, is a time trial & begins in Monaco, ending in Nice.
Last year we decided we would include some TDF (Tour De France) stages/mayhem into our 2024 European adventure. Mark booked us in at a camping park in February, knowing it would be difficult to get a site during this time. So, here we are in welcoming Campimg de la Laune, a small, friendly, rustic but well maintained campground.
Driving eastward again, we’re now in the amazing Camargue region, in the gorgeous village of Saintes Maries de la Mer. This place is truly amazing with its nature & so culturally interesting also.
We even notice all these wild, white horses in the wetlands on our way to the village.
