Bruce takes us 100 kilometres east of Amsterdam to the peaceful Kleverkamp in Diepenveen for a three-night stay.
It’s a beautiful, grassed camp area with a tiny restaurant delivering affordable gourmet meals to your site, by bike!! Our vegetarian pizza was the best ever!
We ride with our lovely new Dutch neighbours, Paul and Selma into the small attractive town of Deventer.
The historic weighing station of 1273 standing proudly over the square.
This large Kass (Cheese) also standing proudly!
Walking the narrow laneways, Selma explains that this sign on the wall of a house is announcing the birth of their child Jill 22 July 25; interesting!!
We were lucky enough to meet King Willem of the Netherlands too!?
The next day we cycle 50KM along the river and on the dijk.
We found two of our grandchildren’s namesake in the village and it was another photo opportunity!… also a shop for Mark.
We found this very unusual sight!! … wallabies including white ones …. in countryside Netherlands!!
In preparation for our Norway cruise and the “Orange Dressup Evening”….
