Hot days !

Bonjour everyone! Bruce is now heading westerly to the small village of Bignac! Fortunately his air conditioning is working this year & it’s making the driving more comfortable in this ongoing heatwave. The beautiful sunflowers are happily smiling in our direction as we drive past! It appears they’re the only ones loving 35 degrees!

Here’s a bit of challenge for Bruce! Luckily, he hasn’t added any holiday inches to his girth. However, we breathe in anyway & it was easy peasy!

Stopping for a baguette for lunch, Mark is amused by the 3 minute Pizza machine. It seems out of place in these old towns.

Here we are at peaceful Camping du Lac de Bignac, beside the lake. There is an old swimming pool here so l don’t have to resort to a dip in this lake.

It’s 36 degrees in Bruce so Mark has set up his office outside in the shade where it’s only 35!! The humidity is very high too, making for some restless nights. Our mistral fan is just blowing hot air around!

Notice we’re still proudly displaying our Aussie flag for the Olympics.

🎼 Four little ducks went out one day over the….…lawn & far away! 🤪

Getting close to end of our 2024 adventure! We’re enjoying the attractive, small villages in Brittany on our way to Camping de la Baie de Terenez, in Plouezoc’h.

Plouezoch is a tiny seaside village of north west France, Brittany. The tides here are quite dramatic & at low side most of the boats are beached.

Seafood of all descriptions are the go here. Oysters(huitres) can be purchased direct from the sea.

Zooming in, this stand out restaurant in bright red, is where we savour our last meal in France.

A share plate of various seafood delights is delicious!

The beach is rather crunchy as we walk the shoreline with its blanket of mollusc / oyster shells.

Grand , stylish houses look out over the sea. Some are bed & breakfast accommodation.

The old telephone booths are put to popular use as little libraries, free to all.

We have noticed these upside down village signs on our journey in rural France. It’s a campaign by farmers to draw attention to what they say is their increasingly precarious way of life.Farmers cite specific grievances such as cost of farm diesel, late payments of EU subsidies, increased bureaucracy & competition from imports.

Even the sunflowers were trained to look at you respectfully….every single one of them!…..
